I think I read somewhere that the Chicago Cubs finished April with their best record ever.  As a fan, it sure didn’t feel that way watching them.  It seemed like they lost too many games and last night’s contest against the hated St. Louis Cardinals was one they seemed destined to win.

Down 3-1 in the top of the ninth with the STL closer on, it seemed like it was over.  Then boom, my beloved Cubbies came back and tied it 3 all.  Destiny, right?  This game should be theirs.  It wasn’t.

A Cubs’ reliever in the bottom of the 11th (I think it was the 11th) gave up a homer.  Bye-bye destiny.  After blowing the game against Milwaukee on Thursday, this one was particularly hard to take.  Let’s hope the Cubs beat up on the Cardinals today on Fox.
